505 ~ Expect the Expected??

For the past one month, all that we've been hearing, seeing, and speaking about in Malaysia was all about the 13th GE. Honestly, I don't have much interest in politics and I don't really read newspapers or watch news on TV, but everybody was constantly sharing all the news (real or fake) on fb so it's hard to turn a blind eye to all these 'drama'. There were so much attention to this 13th GE that you see all sorts of interesting news coming out everywhere, even more dramatic than soap opera...lol!!

Ridiculous amount of flags all over Penang. I really don't get what's the point of putting soooo many flags...it's not like the olden days where putting flags marks your territory la!

5 years ago, I wasn't eligible to vote but I had the chance to tag along the cruisers from 988 and Suria FM to go around various key polling stations (including Air Puteh) to report on the election and I don't remember it being as crowded and chaotic back then. All thanks to social media, the awareness level among younger generation is so much higher now as compared to 2008.

As there were so much attention on this 13th GE, lotsa people were hoping for a change but as expected/unexpected, nothing changed and we're still sticking to the status quo, at least for the next 5 years. So let's just move on for now. Anyway, here's just a few take away from this election:
1. The higher the expectations, the bigger the disappointment.
2. Politics is called politics coz it's complicated, and with power comes corruption.
3. 'Netizens' like us (a.k.a. people who're constantly on fb) doesn't represent the whole population of the country.
4. If we can't change the status quo, then just move on and make the best out of the status quo, that's how we've done it all these years anyway.

Now you see it, now you don't! Haha...the fact that the ink is indelible encouraged more people to try to get rid of it...I was one of them. =P Easily removed the ink the day itself with toothpaste.

Aight, enough of crapping. I've still been busy with work and unfortunately the 'Hunt in the Heritage' event for our company was postponed so there's nothing interesting to update on. Boring boring boring!!
