2025 Halloween in Newnan

Thirty days, two cruises, 2530 miles. Spent the whole month of November 2025 road-tripping around Southeast USA and cruising to Mexico and the Caribbean. Kicked off our trip celebrating Halloween with hubby’s cousin in Newnan (Georgia) before making our way to Tampa (Florida) for a Margaritaville cruise to Mexico and Western Caribbean. After a week on the sea, we continued our journey driving across Florida and spent the week visiting Ft. Lauderdale, Key West and Miami, before a Holland America cruise to Eastern Caribbean. Wrapped up our trip driving along the coast to visit Savannah (Georgia) and Charleston (South Carolina). Grateful for the opportunity to explore so many different places in one month and thankful for the beautiful weather throughout our trip.

31 Oct - 1 Nov 2025 (Fri - Sat): Halloween at Newnan, Georgia
I went a lil' rogue with cruise matching earlier in the year, and ended up booking 2 'free' cruises in November. Since both cruises departed from Florida with a one-week gap between both, we decided to turn this trip into a Southeast US roadtrip and drove instead of booking 2 roundtrips flights. The journey from Huntsville to Tampa takes about 10-12 hours, so we decided to break the drive and make a detour to visit hubby's cousin in Newnan, who graciously hosted us for a night.

One month of travels packed into one luggage each. Started our road trip at 11am and drove about 4.5 hours to Newnan, GA.

Took the slightly longer route to see the fall colors in the mountains.

Arrived Newnan at 4.45pm. Big thank you to cousin Leslie and David for hosting us for a night!

...and for treating us to a nice buffet dinner!

We were visiting on Halloween night, and lucky us we got to experience the Halloween party in downtown Newnan, which was at a different level.

It wasn't just the normal trick or treat, it was a full block party with the entire area blocked for pedestrians only, and some houses even had music/DJ/live music in their front yard.

There should be an award for the best decorated house. These people really went above and beyond decorating their houses for Halloween.

Of course everyone (apart from us) came fully dressed for the occasion. Once again, thanks Leslie and David for this awesome and cool Halloween experience in Newnan!

After spending a night in Georgia and enjoying a good breakfast prepared by Leslie and David, it was time to continue our journey to Florida.
