Alaska 2025 ✈ Part 6: Victoria, Canada

After years of talking about visiting Alaska, we finally found the opportunity to make this trip happen thanks to a cruise offer from Princess. We are grateful to check off this bucket list trip with an 11-day Alaskan cruise with mom. We intentionally chose to begin our Alaskan cruise in San Francisco (instead of Seattle or Vancouver) as this was a good opportunity for hubby to spend time with his buddy before embarking on the cruise.

21 Sep 2025 (Sun): Victoria, Canada

Our final stop on this cruise was Victoria, Canada. Our ship arrived at 3pm and was in port till 12am.

Once again, we had nothing planned for Victoria so our plan was just to walk around town.

Malaysians had to get a visa to visit Canada so it was kinda annoying that mom had to apply for a Canadian visa just for this port, even if she doesn't get off the ship. Oh well, maybe we can plan another trip to Canada in the future. P.S. I have a US Green Card so I didn't need a visa.

It was about a 30 min walk from the port to downtown. Fortunately, the weather was very nice (not hot).

Quick stop at the Fisherman's Wharf...

...which reminded me of Chew Jetty in Penang, but with much cleaner waters...lol!

We continued walking to downtown Victoria and took a short internet break before continuing our sightseeing.

Legislative Assembly of British Columbia Parliament Buildings

Empress Hotel

It was nice walking around the Marina area.

Chinatown

I wasn't even trying to look but somehow I keep stumbling upon PwC when I'm traveling. Please DND my vacation...lol!

Beautiful sunset to wrap up our short visit of Victoria and our final stop on this cruise.

Returned to the ship at 7pm. We didn't have to go through immigration or show our passports at all for this stop because the ship helped us to clear immigration before we disembarked.
